The first week’s health challenge is all about your morning. There are lots of things you can tune into when you wake up in the morning and there are lots of things you can do to help your body wake up and get going for the day.
This week what I would like you to do is to take notice of you body when you wake up in the morning. Take note of the following;
• Before you get out of bed - how does your body feel, which parts hurt, which parts are stiff, which parts feel good?
• After you get out of bed - what changes and how long does it take to change?
• The colour of your tongue - poke you tongue out in front of the mirror and take note of
the colour and texture.
Your challenge this week is to improve on the quality of your breakfast. This is one of the most important meals of the day and a lot of us either skip it or eat convenient food mindlessly. We are a culture that is completely ingrained in thinking that we have to either eat cereal out of a box or toast and vegemite, with the occasional egg thrown in.
So the first challenge is to throw out all your pre conceived ideas and rules about what constitutes breakfast and start to think differently. Who said you cannot have a piece of fish and salad for breakfast? It would certainly provide a lot more nutrition and life than those wonderful flakes and squares that we all know so well.
So, first task today is think about what you would normally have for breakfast. If it is in a box, take a look at the box and actually read the ingredients. Write it down and share it with us.
Then plan to eat something different.........and think QUALITY!
Health problems usually result because we get too much of what we don’t need and not enough of what we do need.
